In Diego Martin, a 10-month-old baby girl tragically lost her life under mysterious circumstances on December 31, 2025. Alya Amalia Ramjit was found face down in her family’s swimming pool. She had been in the care of her grandmother while her parents were briefly upstairs. Upon their return, they were horrified to find their baby missing and after a search, found her floating in the pool. Immediate resuscitation efforts were made and the baby was rushed to the hospital, but despite the medical team’s efforts, she was pronounced dead at around 4:15 pm. Notably, a bruise was found on her right eyebrow. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the incident.
