Λευκάδα: Η βόμβα με τα 10 κιλά ζελατοδυναμίτιδας που είχαν βάλει στο σπίτι του Ελληνοαμερικανού επιχειρηματία

**Lefkada – Police investigate bomb found in home of Greek‑American businessman**

Greek authorities are examining a case in which a bomb containing approximately 10 kilograms of gelignite was discovered inside the residence of a Greek‑American entrepreneur on the island of Lefkada.

According to reports from local law‑enforcement officials, the explosive device was placed at the property earlier this month. The discovery prompted a criminal investigation, and the case has been transferred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office for further action.

Investigators have identified two inmates of the Malandrinos prison as possible suspects. Both men have extensive criminal records, and prosecutors allege that they may have coordinated the attack from within the prison, allegedly issuing the order to plant the bomb through communications with accomplices outside the facility.

The identities of the businessman and the two prisoners have not been disclosed pending the outcome of the investigation. No injuries have been reported, and the motive behind the alleged attack remains unclear.

Police have not released details about the method used to deliver the explosive device to the house, and they have asked the public to refrain from speculation while the inquiry is ongoing.

The case is being handled under Greece’s anti‑terrorism and explosives legislation, and the authorities have indicated that any individuals found responsible will face severe penalties. Further updates are expected as the investigation progresses.
